In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered Aug. 31 against Christina L. Owens of Jefferson on a case that was initiated in district court. Owens was first charged with assault causing bodily injury. The charge was amended to assault-simple and a judgment as entered for a $100 fine with a $35 state surcharge and a $5 county enforcement surcharge. Court costs were $60.
In another district court case against Owens, a charge of operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent was amended to trespass. Owens was fined $100 with a $35 state surcharge and a $5 county surcharge. Court costs were $100.
A judgment was entered against Freedom Hope Ore of Hutchison, KS, on a charge of trespass. Ore was fined $65 with a $22.75 state surcharge and a $5 county surcharge. Court costs were $103.
A judgment was entered against William Russell Griffin of Rippey on a charge of assault-simple, amended from a charge in district court of domestic abuse assault with intent to inflict serious injury. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 state surcharge and a $5 county surcharge. He must also pay restitution for his court appointed attorney in an amount to be determined. Court costs were $217.90. A charge of solicitation to commit felony was dismissed.
A judgment was entered against Haley Marie Carrick of Jefferson on a charge of harassment- simple amended from harassment- third degree. Carrick was fined $65 with a $22.75 state surcharge and a $5 county surcharge. Court costs were $124.50. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed.
